Magnus Networks wasn't launched from a boardroom. It was launched from an operatory. I'm a Computer Engineer by training and a certified Apple technician by practice — and my wife, Dr. Isis El Ghannam, is a board-certified orthodontist who co-founded Lightning Orthodontics with me in Lutz, FL.

That practice became the laboratory. Before Magnus Networks was a company, I was designing the network architecture, running the cabling, configuring the UniFi stack, setting up Apple Business Manager, installing the cameras, building the rack — and then opening the practice doors and watching it all run under real clinical load.

Every device on the network was a device treating real people. Every AP placement decision affected a CBCT imaging workflow. Every VLAN boundary had PHI implications. There was no staging environment — it was all live, from day one.

That's the difference. When I design a network for a dental or orthodontic practice today, I'm not speculating about what a clinical environment needs. I'm drawing from direct experience operating one.

I also have led a large portfolio of operational projects at Amazon — including both technical and non-technical initiatives — which gives me a systems-thinking and project management rigor that most boutique IT firms don't have.
